Mozarkite cut to shape of state outline. Took a high polish. Healed fractures in it. Thanks for looking, Ken

Ken you are so inventive! Now I've got the itch to do a US map with one per state...boy some would be insanely difficult...

Cool. I did a texas one out of texas pet wood. Yours is a lot nicer and more colorful. Excellent job

It would be cool to do the states out of the state rock, but I found out most of the states do not have a state rock. Fran, I polished it on my Ameritool flat lap. Cut it out on my Gryphon band saw. Ken

Very cool! I remember Builtonrock did the same cut and material a few years back. He set it in tile on his floor. I'd like to try an AZ shape but I'd need a band saw for the cut.. that Colorado River winds a pretty crazy path. *Just went to the general board and typed in page 100 as a baseline to look for John's thread and found it right there! Here's the one he did: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=7385

Ken, those are awesome. Did you get all the scratches out on the flat surface? I just did a flat surface and it polished up very nicely but all of the scratches did not come out. I did not go back discs because I ruined the stone. I tried heating it up with a lighter and there must have be a crack in the rock it turned black on both sides and I couldn't polish it out.
