This looks better in person. Rich deep purple. thats all folks. The reason we bought all these is to give people a chance to see and work with it. i know there are people out there that wish they could buy a slab, but the company only sells it in kilo blocks. So Ralph and I bought the 4 and will just sell the slabs, which are much cheaper then the block. ty mary ann

Oh sweet!!!! That is so pretty! I know it is man made but what does that matter when it is created with a natural, beautiful product? I love it! Fran

i've always loved this material, but always wondered about the color and how it was treated to get the colors. Preaty stuff!

This slab is treated Mohave Purple Turquoise. We purchased a block of this beautiful colored material from Colbaugh Processing in Kingman, Az. After speaking to Marty ” the owner” in Tucson He explained to me the process of how this is made. Smaller Kingman turquoise nuggets that have been first dyed and the brass is added. From there they add stabilizing products and compress it using no heat. He said the heat will change the color, so it always done at room temperature. After its compressed its in the form of a block. This slab will make several fantastic cabochons.

Those are very nice, I also saw some that was black with the brass, it was nice also. But I think the Purple is the coolest.
