Howdy folks, Went down to the mailbox and was delighted to find a little carton from our member Woody in my mailbox. Opened it up to find some truly spectacular slabs of that Christmas Tree Plume Agate from the south Cady Mountains area and a cool slab of Wascoite that looks almost like real nice pet wood. Both new specimens for me so very cool indeed. Thanks so much Woody. Upon close examination, I think this Xmas tree Plume is different from the material I saw from Mexico. The plume in that was more developed and more green streamed up into the plume in the Mexican stuff. That being said though, the Mexican stuff was from a fairly thick vein so it could very well have been from a different portion of this same vein system you have discovered and the plume simply had more area to expand into when the vein was thicker. We all know how folks misidentify locations all the time, by accident or on purpose *L*. Anyway, Woody, I'm heading out to the gym in an hour or so and you can expect a little thank you from me in the mail. Thanks again Woody!.....Mel The pics: Oh my golly this is pretty! Going to have to study this one a bit before I try to cut it as I really like the crystal pockets. This one is a dead ringer for some of the Mexican Flame Agate from Naica, Mexico. Another beautiful plume and the wascoite:
