I got some of this, about 40 lb. piece lol in quartzite. I didn't realize that this can be some pitty stuff. With a little work i think the cabs will be really nice. This first one is a huge slab....9" x 6 3/4". It would make a nice display piece if i had a flat lap. lol My mexican friend said he's not going to get anymore. i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg141/stonesthatrock/luna-agate-1291.jpg[/IMG]

When I first turned to agates and jaspers over a decade ago, I saw a slabof Luna Agate that knocked my head back. I think Terry Mapel (mapelstuff) on ebay had it. Really large orbs and no pits. The thing went for over $100, and I was a poor grad student at the time, so I sure did not get it.
Ever since, I have had an eye out, but I think I might be spoiled because I never find one that excites me enough.

$15 pecos A friend of mine has a polished slab that is outstanding. I think he wants $150. I'm still cutting this hoping for some nice slabs.
