the only description I have seen is a micro-crystaline quartz from one section of the Norena mine in the Pilbara region of Australia.
Feels like well silicified jasper.

Not that im saying metamorphic rock is a bad thing off course , jade is a metamorphic rock , the pilbara ,is a volcanic region . Metamorphic jasper ;D
