My husband got a chunk of rough online that was called "Royal Agate". If I google that name I get a thousand links to a company in India by the same name...so no help there... He cut a slab today so I thought you all might know what we have...it is really quite solid, except for a beautiful quartz vug in the center

I'm probably wrong but it looks like some fancy jasper I've seen from India.

I agree that the colors remind me of the 'bloodstone' jasper from India. I have never seen it this agatized, though, but it is possible that it comes from the same area as the Indian bloodstone jasper.
