Hey guys, First off thanks again for all the kind comments on the crystal wrap... It means alot. I made this a couple days ago. It is a tumbled piece of citrine ( I'm pretty sure it was in a gift box from Fran ) wrapped in 18, 20, and 24 gauge copper. This one is really just an experiment. I was looking at some of my old wraps and noticed that when I started wrapping tumbled stones I had more depth in some of my designs to account for the depth of the stone. I think that is what makes the crystal wrap so cool. But with cabs, most of my wraps look flat. So, this is an attempt to create the illusion of depth, with a flat stone. Also, more practice with coils.... First time trying to weave, too. The weave came out OK, The back is better than the front, I should have started back there . I still need more practice ( and now, more wire ). Well anyways, let me know what you think. and the back... notice the last part of the weave on the bail is pretty much perfect... How did I do? Chris

There is no way that is your first weave. And it looks like you wove with fairly thick wire too. Be honest, is that actually your first woven bail? I love the piece. I love how you offset the bail to the stone and then compensated for the balance with the three heavy wires on the right side. I still can't figure our how you do the coiled ones. I haven't seen anyone else do that yet. I like the front better than the back. Awesome work. You got skills!!!!!!

Will look great with a substantial chain or cord. It's beautiful.

sweet! I like it!! I have seen a lot of wrappers do like these, but they completely bury the stone, you managed to still keep the stone out front!

I did make up a practice bail before I did this, but it was a complete disaster.... so this was kind of do or die , I thought for sure I was going to turn this thing into scrap wire.... Oh, and next time I make a coil I'll try to remember to take pics for ya'. You do great work. Can't comment on technical, but looks cool Bah, who really cares about technical.... " looks cool " is good enough for me . sweet! I like it!! I have seen a lot of wrappers do like these, but they completely bury the stone, you managed to still keep the stone out front! Yeah Marie, that's kind of what I was going for... the stuff they do is amazing but I don't really want to make stuff that looks like thiers. Kind of a fusion between the traditional stuff and the more elaborate wraps. I think you do the same thing really ( heck, alot of us do... ).

The front is awesome, the back is nice and clean. Where is the weave messed up? Can't tell at all! You go boy! Jo
