hey everyone....i preground about 10 peices of hematite for cp today...hoping that they would stand upright on there own after they are tumbled...by the way that stuff is messy as heck...i had to grind it dry...and i was red when i finished....but heres the question......when he loaded it in the barrel...he had some river rock left over...throwed that in...and some scrap leftovers of jasper.. bloodstone.. and other stuff...i beleive it was cher that told him to use gravel....but since the other stuff was left overs..they went in also...will either of them hurt the hematite?...if it will its my fault...i told him to chunk it in...since it isnt any good....the hematite was ground with a silicone wheel...and all surfaces were smooth

It's not going to hurt the hematite but if there's anything good in there it will be stained. I hope you were wearing a respirator or something when you were grinding that stuff up ... not good to do it wet but yeah, it is messy. The reason it's red is it's iron, leave it out in the rain and it will rust.
