There once was a rock who was very sad . He was so lonely that he would cry . Along came a little girl and she picked him up and looked at him. That made him happy . She talked to him and he smiled . She wanted to see what he looked like wet so she used some spit . Then she put him in her pocket and skipped home. His heart leaped with joy. . The little girl took him out of her pocket and put him in a case with many other rocks, all having bright colors and wonderful patterns. They welcomed the new little rock and gave him kisses . And they all lived happily ever after ;D . THE END

Hi Little One, I am so very proud of you for sending all of us a message and the happy faces just add so much to that message. See I don't know how to put those pretty faces in my message back to you. You tell you Dad that every time he gets a box at least one of those rocks should be yours. I am certain that when people send him rocks they expect him to share with you. Have a very happy day! Love to You, Tanya

Hi little one. When my daughters were itty bittys like you I would say to them "please stay four forever." It is such a wonderful age. Everything is new for you. You have lots and lots of questions and mommy and daddy mean the world to you and you mean the world to them.
Here is a song by a singer named Harry Chapin. He is no longer with us, but his songs were songs that always reminded me about the love children and parents have for each other. I would play it for my girls all the time. To this day, they still remember it. It is called 'Dancing Boy' but I would change the "boy" part to where it would say "girl".
When your daddy plays guitar, You dance without a smile. Kid you may not have great rhythm, But you sure got style. Just four years old and still it seems, You've got it figured out. When daddy sings, and then you dance, The people clap and shout.
Cuz, you're my dancin' boy, And it's so scary how you trust me. Just one look from you, And I come pouring out like wine. Dancin' boy, I'm sure by now that you must see, You're dancin' means much more to me, Than any dream of mine.
Yes, I'm so proud when you are with me, That my heart digs in my throat. And when you stop to strut your stuff, My eyes go all afloat. And when I have to leave you home As sometimes it must be. I feel that with my leaving I leave far too much of me.
Yes, you're my dancin' boy, And it's scary how you trust me. Just one look from you, And I come pouring out like wine. You're my dancin' boy, I'm sure by now that you must see, You're dancin' means much more to me, Than any dream of mine.
You know the time will come my dancin' boy When you're dancin' days are done, And when daddy and his dancin' boy Will have dwindled down to one.
You know the world will've taught you other steps To match the march of time, So you'll have to keep our dancin' days Dancin' in your mind.
Yes, do your dancin' , boy, Cuz it's so scary how you trust me. Just one look from you, And I come pouring out like wine. Do your dancin' , boy. I'm sure by now that you must see You're dancin' means much more to me, Than any dream of mine.
Thank you for writing to us little one.
Condor ( I am called Condor because that is one of my favorite kind of rock.)

To all who replied,
My daughter loved going through all the responses - especially the story of the stone, so thank you very much. She laughed and pointed and giggled as we read them!
BTW - her name is Rebecca and she is just about 5 years old.
Again, I really appreciate the time you took to do this everyone!
May good things come to you,
Lowell
