What's up RTH,

Well, here's the wrap I used that coil on.

This is a tumbled piece of bloodstone wrapped in copper and silver plated copper.

I'm getting a little better at weaving, but it's just soooo darn tedious

. The weaves do look good, so I guess it's worth it. I was going to do a weave on the bail, but I kind of like it the way it is.

It looks like the weave is covering alot of the stone, but it's not really. You know how I like to change the shape of the stone

, I used the weave to make the stone look wider to make sure it hung just how I wanted it to.

I like the bail that way too. I think a woven bail might be too heavy for that one. I love that weave on the side.

But... when I am looking at this piece I don't see the stone, just your GRADE-A wirework.

This isn't my favorite piece of yours, but I will say you ARE my favorite wire wrapper. I strive to someday be able to do a piece like you, that lets the stone guide me and tell me what to do with it.

There is a piece of yours that is and probably always will be my inspiration. Nothing else like it (hope you don't mind me reposting your pic here?)
