I got an email from Jan Woodward: "I am sorry to tell you that Trey died last night, Sat. Mar. 5. Please tell everyone. He died peacefully of cancer. Love, J" I will really miss seeing him at the Ranch!  He was definitely one of the good ole boys! I'm putting this here, because a trip to Woodward Ranch is how most of you met Trey. Later, jeri |

Wow, That is pretty shocking. I had no idea he had cancer! Did he mention this to anyone else that frequents this board?

This is terrible news, I really liked Trey and from the second I got out of the car. With his hand shake and grin I felt like I had known him all my life. Lots of memory's just from that one week.

Just talked to Jan. This is terrible news. There will be no services until sometime in April at which time his cremated ashes will be spread throughout the ranch. There are many people out there right now and spring break will still go on as will the WWR Blitz if anyone still plans on going. I was not planning on going, but this is different. Going to be there Gil. Was going to be and will be offering Jan what ever I can do to help. I had a hint about his illness but didn't know it was so bad. It was a real shock today, still reeling.

Sorry to hear about this loss. I never got the chance to go to Woodward Ranch with the RTH Group, but I really enjoyed reading all the stories everyone shared. Trey sounded like an amazing individual and I know he will be missed. RIP Trey and prayers for Jan and all the RTHers that knew him.

Have been so sad to have heard of Treys passing. Just a great guy to have spent time with. The Woodward ranch was our first rockhound vacation, and he spent some precious moments with our seven year old. We even have a pic of the two of them at that arch in front of his shop!
