cutting a few smaller pieces of bone. here is 3 slabs off one piece that I got before having to reclamp. This is a pic of the rough: also cutting a 2nd piece. It seems to be a full round bone. Black on the edges and nice cells in the center. But it is breaking, so I need to stabilize. here is a pic of the rough. it looks longer in the pic, but I do hope to get some nice full round slices.

Both of those are nice! Like the second one for the contrast and the first one has nice color.

I also cut this 3rd rock. I bought it without seeing a window and it is not looking so good. Still it was only a few bucks a pound. it might get better as I cut. Only half way through.

Yeah, that last one could look better. Have ya gotten though more of it yet? Some parts of it have a little more color & pattern & once polished will probably look better!

it seems to be crumbling. I wonder if some of the cells were calcite instead of silica. I think sealing and polishing the half-bone might be the way to go on the 3rd on.

I like very much the slabs from the 1st and 2nd rock. Lok very solid and very nice colors and contrasts.
