Hello again, everyone. Time for a new update at Todd's gate. I drilled the (blind) holes in the obsidian slab, such as the gate would stand vertically: As you see, the bolts that hold the posts and the upper beam together are visible, so I had to mask them somehow. After talking to Todd, we agreed I should use a stone which would match with the obsidian base. So I used this blackish dino bone to make these two small round cabs: They match pretty well to the base , I hope. And then I glued those cabs in position, with epoxy. Now all I have to do is polish the obsidian base. Thanks for looking, Adrian

Wow, this project is amazing to me! Those little dino cabs are a perfect match too! How did you cab and polish those those tiny things? They are perfect!!!

Krystee, they were small, indeed, but still I managed to cab them holding by hand (no dop stick).
Thank you everyone.

This is definately shaping up to be an outstanding project, from the cab to the silver work to the gate... amazing work by all. I am always in awe of Adrian's craftsmanship. Well done guys.

Adrian, that is wonderful workmanship. The copper is going to accent and set off the intarsia cab beautifully.
