Years ago, whilst I was in the Navy, we flew a logistics support mission to the wilds of India. Having a few hours on our hands, we went to the local town sight seeing. In a very large temple, all studded with actual jewels, we watched as people poured sacks of grain in large pans to feed the most sacred animal in India. Not cows, but rats! Each of the above mentioned grain sacks had the words "This is a donation from the people of the United State of America" printed on them. Each sack also said it was not to sold, but the people had to buy this grain to feed those rats. Now, do you know where your tax dollars go. Woody

Mel: “You though, like most Commies, plainly hold in contempt any corporation that makes profit . . . “
Sorry, pal, wrong number. Just the ones that hide their tax liabilities overseas, suck up gov’t subsidies, ‘bribe’ congress for those subsidies and tax breaks, pollute with impunity. Get my drift? And I didn’t even get to the banks yet. ;D
“ . . . and you believe everyone should get everything all distributed all equal like.”
You’re deluded. Find the post, any post, where I’ve said anything remotely like that. You won’t, but feel free to keep makin’ shit up to fit the narrative. It’s expected these days.

*LOL* Heck Rich, I know most successful big businesses are pirates, that's basically how the world of business works. It's not based on fairness just like nothing in nature is fair. Life is about winners and losers. Big business seems and is nasty but it still is a job creator. But the way I see it, good businesses run lean and mean unlike governments that run fat and inefficient. I think everyone has read enough posts from the two of us to know where we stand politically and regarding economic attitudes. As to the delusion thingee, well I'd say, like beauty, delusion is in the eyes of the beholder. From my standpoint of course, it is folks of your ilk that seem deluded *S*.....Mel

Wow, so instead of having a rational discussion of issues we're launching ad hominem attacks? I must say, I'm disappointed at the level of discourse by a few members here.
