Thanks to ALL out there for the welcome. I wish I had more time to do the things I really like. Rocks and gemstones are a serious passion of mine, but I have always bought faceted stones. Now I want to do my own thing.

Thanks for uploading the photo's Robin. Now you can see the situation I am in. I have this chunk I now need to work with it. I want to work with it but I do not know how. I am meeting a group called the Bothasig Gem and Rock Collector foundation this coming Saturday--patience---LOL, they will assist me in getting this chunk slabbed I hope. Like I said, I'm a newbie in the game. Any ideas as to what to do with it. As I can get a lot of smaller chunks- 1-5 kilo's from the same guy, I would like to sculpt something from this chunk, keeping it as large as possible, simply for show. I do understand that large pieces are very rare, especially with very little granite or white streaks i n them. Any ideas out there. Enjoy your rocking.
