Found at an estate sale. It was listed on Craigslist as having lapidary Journal magazines and rocks. I decided to look in the garage and there she was in the corner saying take me home. The price tag said $75.00, I offered $60 and we settled on $70.00 . I quickly handed him the cash as another guy asked "does this thing work?" I then plugged it in and sure enough it works with a 16 inch blade that has about half the diamonds left. It's a Nelson. I sincerely doubt there was a better saw ever made. We went back today with the trailer and brought it home. Needs a little cleaning up and some oil and should be ready to cut some rock. We went in the house and got a box of lapidary journal mags for 4 dollars, a cool old crosscut doublejack saw for 15 bucks, a HP 6" trim saw with parts missing for $3 and a couple promising looking rocks for a buck. Then on the way home we stopped by Hanleys Rock shop and Irene was just back from AZ with some nice hand picked rough. If you are in the Portland OR area you need to stop in before it gets picked over. What a day! Lee

Donnie you never know. If you watch craigs list on thursday and friday and do some word searches using the kinds of words a non-rockhound might use to describe what they have you can haul in some pretty good deals. We have picked up a bunch of tumblers by searching for rock polishers. When I had more time on my hands I even tried likely miss-spellings (lapadary?) Tony, Ya I know barter was probably inappropriate, but I just can't help it.

I wish I could find another saw priced that low. I wouldn't have bartered on these prices, just pay and load it before the seller came to his senses. Awesome deals.
