Those are some beautiful slabs. I would never have guessed that it would like like that inside. Should make some awesome cabs. Great discovery.

Well this is`nt the first, but is the biggest . i have found several smaller of these . The first one i discovered was in a pile of field rocks at my grandpas farm . it was darker brown on the outside . i did not think it would be blue inside, but i did take another rock and hit it , cause i could see fractures, i was suprised to see the blue . So i do keep a eye for these . found this in a ravine on the farm , about 300 yards from the rock pile .

Wowweyy ... Iam very happy I am not the only one who uses a house scale for his rocks ! light ones get me and the rock and without!

Very nice (or should I say gniess). We get some of that stuff around here (glacial float) with garnet inclusions- Nice stuff to work.

Thanks Frog, want some ? Greg- actually bought it just for rocks , its a cheap digital, have a small digital that goes up to ten pounds, i use it alot, dont have alot of good stuff that is bigger than that . Yeah Stefan, i do find some garnet ones too, and several other types , all glacial float .

Yeah Tanya , it is a beaut . The only one just like that i have found . There is actinolite -dark green, epidote - light green veins , quartz is the main body of the rock , and the cream coloring of the quartz ,i`m not sure of .
