I was told at the San Antonio show last weekend of a rock shop named "Texas Lapidaries". Checked it out today. Never saw so much palm wood. They have quite a bit of used equipment but I couldn't pin them down on prices. Rock prices are funny too. After looking at palm stumps I asked prices and was told "maybe $8 per lb". I looked for small pieces and finally came upon a 10"x 9" complete round sawed flat both ends. I asked how much and was told "since you like it, $20. It weighs 19 lbs. I may have to go back while here and poke through their piles. Lots of wood (dozens of crates), moss, etc. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
