One of the lots that I picked up from the silent auction at the San Antonio show was a bag full of Llanoite rocks. They didn't look like much in the bag, so I sliced one up yesterday. Wow! Here are the slices of one of the 5 rocks, plus the other 4 that I haven't touched yet (I was doing the pics on the dining room table, so instead of water, I rubbed a little cooking oil on the slabs to show the colors): All these slabs were from one of the 5 rocks: A closeup of one of the slabs: I am thrilled - I had no idea this stuff would be this pretty. I think the cabs will be kinda nice, too, whenever I get around to doing it. Oh, by the way - I picked this bag of rocks up for $7. (!!!!!!) ;D I also picked up 2 big bags of trim saw leavings of malachite. I've never had any malachite to play with, so I thought this would be good for practice. Some of the pieces are good enough to make a cab from. We'll see. Thanks for lookin, Tom
