YAAAA!! Home Depot is still my friend. I went in search of a new tile saw and they had 2. Still $88. I am back in heaven. Got home, set it up. I was very happy to see the new design. I like the new water tank (maybe old but first time I have seen it) and the motor is sealed away from the water. I cut a small slab just to try it out. Boy, it sure moves some water!! HAha I got soaked! I think the blade is way to thick though. I wish I had remembered to get my blade off my old saw before we moved from the house. It was nice and thin and cut rocks like butter. oh well, I'll get another. So, since it's my weekend, I'll be cutting rock tomorrow and maybe even cabbing Saturday!! I haven't felt this good in a long, long time!! ;D ;D

Whoo Hoo!!! It's sooo much fun to feel good! What "thin" blade are you replacing it with? I ruined my 7" that was also too thick.
Happy for you! ~Krystee

Krystee, when I had my drilling business, I used to sell large saw blades to engineering firms that did soil explorations and sometimes had to cut rock and concrete. I had a company in Tampa that made them special for me. I asked them to make me a 7" diamond blade. I tried it out and it was amazing! I will have to go through my old records and see if I can find the paperwork and give them a call.

Glad you are enjoying a new saw. I'll bet it's like having Christmas all over again. TTFN ;-)

I have discovered if you sit behind the saw and pull the rock towards you, you will remain relatively dry. Have fun!

Hi Tigg er
I was going to say the same as Nancie above. pull the rock to wards you so the saw rotation is going away from you + all the spray,
Makes sawing a lot more interesting and enjoyable
Have a good w/end

Nancie & Diane, you guys are correct. I always sit behind the saw unless its mid July, then I love the spray,LOL. I spent all day Friday cutting rough cabs and all day Saturday with the cabber. I finished 5 beautiful cabs but can't get my pictures posted with this old computer. I had a blast with my new saw and so happy with its new design. Makes it so much easier to clean afterwards.

Congrats! Back doing something you enjoy is certainly to be celebrated!
I will see this as an omen that I should be searching for tile-saw-sized-rough for the next pass through of the traveling rock box.
