Does anyone have any tips on how to reduce the size of pictures when you post them on the forum, so they dont take the whole page?

Picasa-3 is very good for down sizing, you can run a hundred photo through it in a few minutes. i use it for my web-site. And it is free.

Another freebie is Faststone Image Viewer (ooo, it has a rock in it's name!). It can resize quickly but also allows you to fix photo flaws like a picture that is too dark or a color that is 'off'.

I use a really old version of Microsoft Office Picture Manager - NOTE: I don't know if they even still sell it, but it's a goodun! I can manipulate brightness, contrast, midtones, color values, hues, saturation, file size, photo size, and cropping. Also rotate, flip, redeye removal, etc. It's a pretty powerful and efficient photo managing tool.
Just MHO.

I also have some free photo manipulation software on my web site, let me know if you're interested and I'll get you the link.
