Hi all. Just another example of the generosity of the members of this board. Tony came by my house today and he brought me a beautiful chunk of jade and a chunk of yellow jasper he had gotten from Kim to use as knife handles. Yes, I think I've converted him from just a jadehound to a full-fledged rockhound. Then, after he leaves, I go check the mail and there are two padded envelopes waiting for me. One was from Stephan and one was from an ebay seller. I was expecting the ebay package, but the one from stephan was a total suprise, which is okay, cuz I like suprises. Here's the jade and the chunk of yellow jasper And here is what Stephan sent me. A slab of pet wood, a slab of paiute agate and 2 slabs of wonderstone that are gonna make a very nice knife handle. Thanks you guys, you are what this hobby is all about, sharing what you've got so we can work with many types of materials we wouldn't usually have a chance to. Oh, in case you're wondering, I've already marked out the cab I going to cut from the paiute agate. And here is a slab of Guadalupe Poppy Jasper I won on auction last weekend.

Ed-
Once again, you are proving to be the ever hoarding rockhound. Wouldn't have it any other way, right? LOL.
I like that little cab you're getting ready to make. That's gonna be a nice one.
Gaetz
PS...I didn't get that package out today. Hopefully Monday.

That's great Ed, the generousite any kindness of the people here is really something and is what rocks are all about. After all, that's how we expand our collections and keep the tumblers and grinders happy. Also NICE SLAB! I was eyeballing that one, or one similar. Steve

Wow how cool is that. How come you get mail on Sunday? That's no fair, we don't get presents in the mail on Sunday, I want to know how you did that, you magic or something? Or you did like I did and forgot to check the mail yesterday. Mine just got all wet, still no presents in there.
