Every year I post pics of the poppies in my garden.Years ago they were a vibrant red color, but since have become a lighter shade. Just so happened my granddaughter from North Carolina is visiting for a couple of days, got some priceless photos of her. A couple days ago. They haven't reached their peak bloom yet,and the wind has finally stopped whipping them to death. snuffy

Good golly what a display! Y'all must be getting a little rain back there in Bryan. We got our first lousy little quarter inch in months here last night but my flowers are kind of fizzling out due to lack of moisture....Mel

Mel,we are in the exceptional drought category here. This all has been out of a water hose. 15 inches below normal last year and this year.

Snuffy, your flowers are almost as pretty as that little granddaughter in the flower patch. She just beautiful. Are you teaching her to be a rock hunter and a gardener? Her little outfit appears to have poppies on it as well. Thanks for sharing.

OK, now i'm jealous. Beautiful pictures of flowers, nice to see there is somewhere out there that is green and blooming. This is what it looked like outside my doorstep yesterday morning. Thanks for the picture to brighten my mood. Sampson

Snuffy, have your flowers made it through the high winds out there lately? Sampson, I know several states in the US also got snow yesterday. That just sucks! We just had a huge thunder storm roll through here about an hour ago My garden looks like a lake and I am not sure if the seedlings have made it or floated away. Time will tell! Fran
