thanks, I imagine I want a bigger one instead of getting a small one and having to upgrade soon thereafter. unfortunately nobody around here ever has saws on cl or anything, nobody does any rock work anywhere very close to me,lol.

I have some saw parts that could get you pretty close to a saw, you would just need to make the enclosure and provide a motor and such. Let me know what size you are thinking of and I will see what sizes I have available that are close.
Have a great day...........Tony

I really like the looks of that combo machine "rockrattler" and think something like that would be handy to have. also maybe looking at a regular slab saw I found for sale local, the price is right, lol

i built a little rock saw with a 7" blade before i managed to get a 10". i could cut a few rocks with it but it took too much time and now that i have the 10" i like it a lot. i got it from a guy in lincoln, ne on craigs list for 100. i had to get the right pulleys and right blade for it but that's a little experience... charlie

Roy, If playin4fun isn't interested in your saw, I might be interested. I've been keeping an eye on craigslist for a good deal, but there hasn't been much showing up. Whereabouts in eastern oregon are you?

I live clear out in nebraska so you two from oregon should definately hook up. I am looking a a saw local here that is a 10 inch tile saw used but in good shape with a sliding table, for a hundred bucks, at that price it is not worth me building my own from scratch and I can modify away on it as I progress and know what I want. thanks everyone.
