they look like there coming along pretty good to me. there are a couple small ones that may have been in to long but other than that the rest have shaped nicely. im no expert but the last pic looks like lapis lazuli and quartz.

6 weeks in Stage 1! For a Newbie, that`s amazing. I didn`t have that much discipline when I sarted out. My earlt batches reflected my impatience.
I don`t think you can 'turn it too long' unless you are working soft material. Especially in Stage 1. You are well on your way to finishing a really good first batch.

Really nice variety! They're looking good. I like that blue tipped one, too.

Looking good Christy! If that blue tipped one came from Rock Shed then I am guessing blue quartz. I have done some of those and a few pieces did have white areas with the orange specs. Not quite as much white as that but very pretty whatever it is.

I agree with Krystee's assessment that it is blue quartz from the Rockshed. They also sell sodalite which could look like that if mixed in quartz, but after six weeks I suspect it would have undercut in the blue areas. Apatite and Lapis--if someone has some that would survive in six weeks of rough tumble with Mohs 7 rocks please let me know--all that I have worked would have disintegrated.

Thanks guys! I cant remember if the blue and white one was from Rock shed or not. I added some beach stones to the mix to add to volume. I am so interested in learning how to make pendents. So I will probably start having some stupic questions soon. I just thought I might wait till I am done with at least my first tumble LOL. I dont want to get ahead of my self. Next up to go into the tumbler is the beautiful wood I got from Gary, I cant wait for that.
