Newby here. I'm currently building a home made grinder and was wondering how you apply cerium oxide to a 8" felt expando belt? Purchased the felt belt from Covington and they mention using a 32oz spray bottle. Do you spray on a light film or totally saturate it? When completed, do I leave the felt belt on the drum until it's dry before removal? Thanks.

I'd just give it a light spritzing as needed. I find that I get the best polish when the belt starts to dry out and just slightly tugs at the stone.

Don't hose it down Larry; you won't like it when you turn it on!

I rubbed the cerium in and let it dry, then spritz a little water on while running till I get the results dlcgems.com (redrockrods) pointed out.
Spin it dry.
