Howdy folks, Have used thew new Covington 10 inch saw a couple of days now and it cuts real fine. Been working on some of the Texas pet wood I've accumulated lately. Very fun to cut as it's all so exotic compared to what I'm used to. Here are a few pics, Thanks for lookin.....Mel Unknown wood with a pinkish cast to it in person. Must be a relative of snakewood but with slightly smaller vascular bundles. Not real showy unless under a magnifying glass so I didn't take too many cuts. Right side is cut with grain, left across. Strange looking unknown palm of some kind but not Palmoxylon. Much tighter vascular bundles Kind of a crappy piece of shrinkwood that will be broken up for the tumbler. And my best cuts of the day, more shrinkwood but real nice and solid this time. I love this stuff!

UMMMM Pet Wood. Like that last one- and the first one- oh and the ones in the middle. For all the problems with that saw- it sure did cut nice!
