Howdy folks, Cut a few more slabs from another pet wood log yesterday. Still searching for the perfect pattern so I cut the same hunk two directions. Here are a couple of pics of some of the slabs....Mel Cut across the grain: Cut with the grain. I think I like this pattern better and it's makes for more solid slabs as most the holes run the with the grain so cross grain cuts have more pits and vugs.

Cool Mel. I'm thinking I like cross grain better, but everyone likes something different. Try diagonal and see what happens.

Most Three Rivers I've cut looks better with the grain.
