We just got back home last night after going to the show in San Jose. For us it was a busy weekend. For me it was yucky because I got a ripping sinus bug.
The show was a bit slow probably due to the kids being on vacation. As usual I searched all the slab/rock dealer's for material that was the best quality at a good price.
Here are my finds (Pic. heavy)
This photo shows some rare Cherry Orchard Agate from South Africa. The dealer (a close friend) had recently gotten it from an old collector who had had it for many years. I haven't seen any of it for many years and this is the best quality that I have ever seen.
Most of these slabs in this end of the tray were on sale for $2 each or 3 for $5. This dealer was trying to clear out his inventory of smaller pieces.
Here are some photos of the sale pieces.
Black Plume
Mimbres Valley Apache Jasper
Black Plume
Unknown
Teepe Canyon
Green Moss
Woodward Ranch Red Plume
Montana
Piranha Agate
Graveyard Plume (I think)
Priday Plume. This one had a large markdown from $10 to $2!!!!
Two more Black Plumes
Cathedral Agate (I think)
Another Priday Plume
Another Mimbres
Another Black Plume at a significant discount
I haven't a clue what this is.
An interesting piece
Arizona Wood
This Condor end cut is the piece that I got two previous slabs from that I cabbed and posted. I talked him down to $20. I should get at least three slabs from it.
I love this Condor Agate. One of the slabs is from the above piece.
Close up photos of the Cherry Orchard Agate
A Mookite that I got from another dealer. I had to pay full price for it.
I think I'm going to be rather bust in the next few weeks!
