hello! well I save and seperate my slurry after it settles in glass jars, I recently (last changeover) started adding some borax to the mix as alot of folks said it helps, I poured my slurry out for a change over yesterday and set it aside to settle out and it didn't, the whole jar just turned into a jelly like mass,is this normal? and if not what could I have done to get rock dust and water to turn into jelly? it has the consistency of jello

I havent had that problem when I have used Borax

I added 2 tbsp to a three lb barrel and about 4 drops of dishwashing soap, and tumbled for 2 weeks, when I dumped it out it poured fine, when I looked again 5 minutes later it was set up into jelly, lol. not really a big deal just wondered why?

I'm SURE there's someone here who knows the right answer but my guess is that mixing borax with dish soap instead of powdered laundry soap may have something to do with it? Maybe I'll mix up a batch of each to see what happens!

might have to get things just right, I did the same thing on the recharge and restarted it with out the jellylike stuff happening, no biggie just thought it was odd.
