Today I put a towel on the floor to take some pictures since it is raining cats and dogs outside and my two assistants decided to help. This first one is Missy and she thought the towel was for her. This one is Apache and she just wants to be in the middle of everything! They really are a pleasure and don't actually interfere too much when I am making my jewelry but occasionally we have a battle of the wits. I truly love them and enjoy their antics. Tanya

Ms Tanya, this is cool, I have had a "rock" cat for years. Each time we come home from a rock collecting trip, she has to check out 'everything' we got. She is such a nosey cat !!

Beautiful kitties!! I have 6, but only 1 shows an affinity for rocks, beads, etc. She waits until I have my desk covered in stones, wire, etc and then decides to jump right into the middle of it.

Mine both have to check everything out and come sit right beside me. I will sit on the coach with my lap tray and Apache sitting right beside me and she really won't mess with anything, she just wants to see what I am doing. It's really quite cute.

Thank you Tony, Missy is a tortoiseshell and smart as a whip. Her mom was a feral cat but I got her when she was 4 to 5 weeks old. She is wonderful and her belly coloring is truly wonderful but she really does not like to be turned over.

Thank you all! I got ahead of the scratching and had the front feet declawed when they were babies. Never bothered them and they are house cats so we get along great. Apache was a stray that was getting ready to go to the pound so I claimed her from the people who found her. They are 1 and 2 years now and quite a pleasure.

Great cats. My cat Ziggy loves to "help" with whatever i am doing as well. Although his idea of helping is laying in the middle of the book/papers i am trying to read....waiting till i am not looking then swiping the rock off the table for a new playtoy.....drinking from the goldpan while doing cleanups....and of course shaking and dropping hair into whatever i am working on at the moment. Cats....Gotta love em.

Cool cats. What a sweet pair. We have 2 rock cats. One also thinks whatever you put down is there to lay on and the other one (see my avatar) loves to help out when I am doing wire wraps. Steve

You have a beautiful pair of assistants! Cats are fun, aren't they? How old are yours? They look like they're still on the "younger" side. I love the markings/colorings on yours. We have two and both are pushing 16+. Our third passed away back in Jan 2009.

The Tortoiseshell is a year and 2 months and the Calico is about 2 years old now. So yes they are young. Both were free kittens until the spay and removal of front claws, no longer free but boy are they good company. We we are both retired we get to spend a lot of time with the and will have them for a long time. I just love them.

And they're at that age when they still play and play hard! Missy looks a lot like one of mine - same tortie pattern. And you're right - they're great companions.
