So we did a few things with Tony and Chris, took them to Johanna Furnace to collect slag glass, bright colored slag. Then we took them to the local Farmers Market for shoo fly pie and treats, and then a trip to Cabela's, and then dinner, encountered a few wild turkeys along the way! Tony in the woods Mrs. Catman Amber Tony Terner! Tony Turkeys I will let them fill you in and post the pics of the slag tomorrow, LOL Needless to say no shortage of laughs!

Molasses and crumbs it is sort of a local thing, they liked it! I gave Chris the Amish Cookbook to copy some of the recipes for the local stuff we have here, LOL

I was wondering what shoo fly pie is also. Those turkeys are close to the car. Good pics of them but boy can they be nasty.
You all look great and glad you had such a fun day.

Cool slag glass.
Tony, have you lost some weight or is it just the new hair-cut and the beard?

Oh Yeah that glass is beautiful! But my favorite photos are of the turkeys other than the ones you all of you of course. Looks like a wonderful place to travel to.

Can't say as I've ever had shoo fly pie even when I lived in Ohio. I'm jealous that your farmer's market it up and running now. The farmer's markets here don't get started until mid-May. Tonyt at least if you had come down on your ass there would have been plenty of trees to break you fall ;-)
