Chris has been wanting a new car for a while so I got a killer deal on an Outback here in PA. We flew in to pick it up and then we are going to drive it home. Here is a pic of Chris's new car. The dealer met us at the airport and took us to the car, then we headed for Amber and Tony's place, good thing I brought a GPS with us cause I would have been LOST, the roads here are kind of crazy. Here is a cool tunnel under the railroad tracks on the way to Amber and Tony's house. Chris took some pictures of some of the greenery around Amber's house Yesterday they took us to an old Foundry to look for slag glass. Here is an old steam powered saw mill that they have there. Oh I like this blade! Some cool old stuff Amber hangin out in the old buildings Tony headed down the hill with his bucket of slag The 2 buckets we brought home We will try to post pictures of our trip on the way home, hoping to get a little rockhounding in on the way too. Thanks for lookin.............Tony

Hey Chris, congrats on the spiffy new wheels! Great pics, makes me homesick for PA's explosion of color. Looks like you guys had a great time. Did Tony try to slip that saw blade in the back of the new car? ;D Jo

Looks like quality time spent together with good friends. That blade won't cut any rock, but it's hungry for fingers, watch out! Adrian

Looks like a truly wonderful trip. I love Amber's flowers and that tree is awesome. Looking forward to seeing what you do with that slag glass. I have always wanted to find some just don't know where to, but I did get some beach glass which is the closest thing to slag glass. Enjoy that new car on the ride home.

Well looks like we get to hang out a little longer, the transmission needs some work done to it before we head home. This sure beats hangin out in a motel room waiting for parts to show up. Amber and Tony even took us along to their parents for Easter, it was great to meet their families.
Hope to get out of here soon though, I am going stir crazy.

I have an OUTBACK! I love mine. Pretty much does everything I ask it to do. Subbies don't usually have to many tranny problems (mines a standard). Hopefully you can get it squared away. Where abouts in PA is that park? Looks like Limerick? Lots of Lime processors scattered throughout PA.

Actually eBay has a pretty good insurance policy for misrepresented cars and looks like it will be taken care of. I have to fly home tomorrow as I have a big job starting up on Monday and I just have to be there. Chris is going to stay here and hang out until the car is fixed and then she will head home. I can probably fly in somewhere along the way and meet her if she needs help driving, we will worry about that when it gets here.
Have a great day everyone..............Tony

Glad to hear all is going well ... have them check the head gaskets , Subees are notorious for blowing them , make sure she keeps an eye on the temp gauge when driving , it only takes one time over heating to "pop" the gasket. We found out the hard way with my sons lol .

Stefan, that is an old iron furnace. Its located about 20 miles west of Limerick near Morgantown. We have a bunch of these around here. I haven't checked out the others for glass though.

Slag glass or no, that old area looks like so much fun to scout out. Lousy about the car problems but boy what an opportunity to meet their family and enjoy a wonderful meal with all.
Have a safe trip home Chris.
