I am real partial to the alabama paint rock agate and the similar kentucky agate. unfortunately this material requires a great effort to get, climbing mountains in 'bama or the creeks in kentucky ( which are difficult ). I will be participating in the Kentucky agate show next week and I hope to take lots of photo's to put up. I have had very hard luck with the kentucky material. I have never found much and the stuff is extremely high when you try to buy it.

I see a Nazar (Evil Eye ward, shaped like a bulls eye) in this except yours has the look of a fire Ifrit instead of the traditional Blue-on-Blue. It looks like something one of my favorite artists (Pavel Surma) on Beinart would do (here: beinart.org/artists/pavel-surma/gallery/paintings/# ) I like the plasmodial slime frillies around the red too - one of the best AL or TN Paint Rocks I've seen quite frankly!

Wow! That's nothing like our "paint rock" or "Indian Paint Rock" either.
