It's been running great! I don't do a lot of tumbling and I always make sure I keep it clean and properly oiled. I check it every day (it's in the basement and I make lots of trips down there) to be sure it's OK. This morning it had stopped, it was VERY hot and I smelled something burning.
Removed the cover and will wait for my husband to look it over. I'm quite surprised this happened as I'm a light user and it's not quite 4 months old.
Has anyone else had this experience with the Lortone? 3A

They always run hot, that is normal. Some might call it very hot. Pull the belt off the pulley and see if the motor turns.

Well, I'm happy to say it's NOT the motor. My husband took a look and found both drives were had a lot of 'junk' on them near the bearings. He cleaned everything up and put Motorkote on the drives and it runs like a dream. ::breathing big sigh of relief::

Lortone tumblers are hard to kill.

Are you sure it's a Lortone and not a Chicago Fools knockoff? There are some being repainted and sold as Lortone's and they never last.
