Mike: Looks like you are using coin silver like the old Navaho work (pawn) instead of sterling. Personally, I prefer the warm tone of coin silver over sterling. That said, you work is top notch. Woody

Woody no it's sterling. Just older pieces that I didn't polish up. Shows better in pix because it doesn't reflect so much. Polished silver is hard to really get good pix. But yes I've been asked how old some of the pieces are. When my wife is wearing it. The bracelets are mine, I love doing big stones. The spider web in these you can't even get any more. I did the bracelets about 16 years ago. I've been nearly mugged for the one with the coral LOL. That was one piece I split. My wife had to praclicly beat some people off from wanting to buy her jewelry off her. At the Gallup Intertribal fair a couple years ago LOL Mike

I love this work. I have a couple of squash blossom style necklaces, which is sort of a related style. It is my dream to be able to make a piece like that necklace you show. I still have several pieces of Turquoise from the old days that I should cut but I haven't gotten around to it.
I am somewhat frustrated by that style of bracelet. They won't stay on my knobby wrists. What is the trick to wearing these bracelets? I have one in turquoise (not so fine a turquoise as yours but it has sentimental value) and another in Louisiana Opal and they won't stay on my wrist. What is the secret?

Sounds like they"re just too big for your wrist. They need to be closed down prety well at the opening. There's a trick to puting them on when their closed down. But hard to explain. Much easier to show. But you need to press one end into the soft spot on the underside of the wrist. Then you roll the wrist into the bracelet. Mike

OM no casting all fabricated. The outside rim of the necklace pieces is #8 half round wire. Twisted 20g wire inside that & 3/16" scalloped bezel. Thanks all for the kind words & comments Mike

Your work is awesome! I believe most of us wish we could do what you do and I'm certain some can and will do so.

OM I said it was #8 half round my misstake it was #12. * would have been too big & probably wouldn't have been able to bend it tight enough for those stones. Mike
