Well I new that title will get your attention LOL
I would like to present a theory to you but I would request ask that you ask yourselves a question. That question being: Which person if captured would have had the most information about al-kida? Obviously it's leader and creator, Bin Laden. That being said I find it unimaginable that the primary directive of the mission was not to capture him alive. I believe that he was captured alive but not to stand trial for his crimes as was Sadam. I believe that he was captured alive for the sole purpose of being mined to extract the endless amounts of terrorist intelligence that he without question possessed. If he is believed to be dead than there is no concern about preserving his human rights before the eyes of the Muslim world. Those who care to can now revel in his martyrdom while we are left free to use what ever methods are required to get the intel. that he has. Yes I believe BinLaden is now residing in a top secret government super max facility that officially does not even exist. Think about it the elite of the elite US seal team was used. There were no injuries to our forces. A clandestine burial at sea. Some photos of a blood stained floor in the compound. They had probably been caught by surprise as surprise is the primary pre- requisite to a mission such as this. With all of the high tech weapons that we have it is hard to believe that he wasn't immobilized within seconds and taken alive. Yes I believe that Osama Bin Laden is alive and that, if so, is a very good thing. Stu

That thought had crossed my mind too. Shoot him up with something to put him to sleep. A good makeup artist could take care of prep for a photo shoot. If and when the pics are released, he would appear to have half of his face blown off. A dummy sewed up in a sheet for burial at sea. It is a possibility that he is being mined for info. If in fact he is still alive, then congrats to our SEAL team for pulling off a perfect operation. After they get all of the info possible from him, then he'll disappear, and none but a select few will be the wiser. The body will disappear.

He’s on the top floor of the Desert Inn. Howard Hughes and Elvis are down the hall.

*L* Man I love a great conspiracy theory. That one is very thought provoking Stu. I'm sure someone, I'm not sure who, in the government, might be smart enough to figure out something like that.
Snuffy: Nah, Democrats don't defend the turd, they just hand you a turd and say you should thank them for doing you a big favor and letting you hold the clean end.....Mel

*L* It's funny when seeing film of Joe Biden falling asleep during an Obama speech is the most honest thing we see out of Washington these days. Man so much is just theater for the stupid masses...Mel

This post has merit..........I don't believe ANYTHING I hear from the media, especially if it comes from the White House during campaign season. I think that the great war machine of the US has needed an enemy to justify spending the billions or trillions of dollars from our budget. Obama really wants to draw down troops in the mideast, especially in Afghanistan. What better justification than to claim that #1 terrorist is dead now? bin laden could have been dead (died from earlier wounds/disease), could now be alive and being "mined" for information, or could have actually been killed by Seal Team 6, as advertised (not likely). Why would the administration NOT show photographs of the body? Remember, what they did after killing Saddam Hussein's sons? Yep, posted pictures for the entire world to look at, because they were "bad guys". Wow, all this time I thought Osama bin laden was a "bad guy" too! Remember, the Ace of Hearts and the Ace of Clubs and the $30 million rewards? You can refresh your memory by reading this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uday_HusseinGarry

Shake my head with all thats coming out. The long fire fight they had,naw just one of Osamas guys was shootin',Osamas wife held as a human shield was killed, oops, shes alive.Osama went down blazing away, oops he was unarmed,They sit and watched intently as the drama unfolded, oops, communications were blank about 25 minutes. What a crock of coprolite.Them sobs in the White House are a bunch of idiots.I just wish we knew the true story of what went on. Dang is that too much to ask? I guess it is with that bunch. Oh,and that poor sucker that took Robert Gibbs place will join the unemployment line soon,he's lost.

*L* I'm just amazed at how the Dems are trying to make hay from the killing of UBL and how doofus voters gave Obama a ten point bump in popularity for it. Lets see, intel sharing policies were developed during Bush years, prisoners who yielded intel caught during Bush years, interrogation of said folks which yielded intel was done under Bush policies that the Dems complained about non stop. Entire anti-terrorism policy was developed in Bush years and simply co-opted by Obama who stopped playing golf and partying long enough to give real soldiers the go ahead. To me it's like the Bush administration invented the gun powder and the gun, loaded the gun, spotted the target and Obama wakes up long enough to send out someone to do the shooting then he and the Dems stand up and take a bow. At least a few folks in the media and even on the Democrat side of the aisle ( like Jane Harmon) are admitting a lot of the success is due to the actions of GW and company....Mel

First off, Bush et al dropped the ball at Tora Bora. Second, if all that so-called intelligence was so friggin’ great, how come, in five or six years time, they never got him? Typical bullshit from the neocons and wingnuts. They’ve had a full court press on all week trying to credit GWB and justify waterboarding and torture for OBL’s demise. Rather funny too, since Bush basically said, more than once, he didn’t really give a f##k about catching him: In 2006, conservative Weekly Standard editor Fred Barnes told Hannity’s Fox News that in a recent meeting with Bush, the president had told him “bin Laden doesn’t fit with the administration’s strategy for combating terrorism.” Barnes said Bush told him that capturing bin Laden is “not a top priority use of American resources.”
And just six months after 9/11, Bush suggested in a press conference that Bin Laden was not a top priority for his administration. Asked whether Bush thought capturing Bin Laden was important, Bush scolded those who cared about Bin Laden for not “understand[ing] the scope of the mission":"Who knows if he’s hiding in some cave or not. We haven’t heard from him in a long time. The idea of focusing on one person really indicates to me people don’t understand the scope of the mission. Terror is bigger than one person. He’s just a person who’s been marginalized. … I don’t know where he is. I really just don’t spend that much time on him, to be honest with you." www.nytimes.com/2011/05/04/us/politics/04torture.html?_r=1Hi Jake!!

I knew when I posted this thread that there would be many people who would utilize it as a sounding board to regurgitate the sound bites of their favorite talking heads. I understand the importance of talking heads after all they are the modern day shepherds that keep the heards moving in a given direction. But to imply that one president or political party did not want Bin Laden taken down is absurd. Regardless of which heard you choose to follow I again ask you to graze on this question: If it ain't broken why kill it? As we learned from our p.o.w.'s in the Viet Nam war everyone has a breaking point

*L* Rich, you so hate admitting Bush policies had a lot to do with UBL's demise when in fact, the only policies of Obama's that actually work are those he adopted from Bush. Everything BHO opposed in his campaign and still opposes are the things that actually work. Inhanced aggressive interrogation, treating terrorists like terrorists rather than like regular criminals like Holder would like to do, locking them up in GITMO etc worked. Even the Dems who aren't total dumbasses know this. As I said, Dem Jane Harmon ( former ranking member of house Intel committee) addressed this during a recent interview. Obama and Holder wanted to treat the Bush policy folks like war criminals and now they want all the kudos for the results. What a friggin joke and what a friggin bunch of hypocrites!.....Mel

Bush turned his focus from Al Quaeda to the Iraq war in order to avenge his Daddy. Shouldn't have done that.
Obama put the focus (and the troops) back where they belonged in the first place.
Although I don't agree with the notion of torture, I do like to imagine that Usama bin Laden is really alive in a dark, dank room somewhere and someone is slowly and painfully slicing him into tiny tiny tiny little pieces.
But that's just me...
