Did some cutting on the Frantom today mostly, just experimenting & cutting different type of rocks its working well I want to set up a Worforce saw for squaring up the rocks before slabbing that will probably be an after the summer project thanks Ed

i thought the same thing when i used my 10" saw for a trim saw i thought the blade was bending too much .. when the feed is on its fine though ...

I agree Greg The Barranca blade I have is pretty flimsy for squaring up a rock and I don't want to tweak it unnecessarily and a vice set up may be a way down the road thing so if I can find a used Workforce for under fifty bucks I'll purchase it. Lots in pawn shops going for 60.00 that 7" blade does a fine job of getting some flats on a rock Summer time is coming and energy level are waning so mostly, its probably some of the last cuts till next season lots of rock to keep one busy though

Good tip. I was noticing that on my 10" 303 Covington saw. I did not like how much the blade was flexing on odd shaped rocks and makes me nervous. I do have a Skil 7" wet tile saw that I can square things off first. I do not like using it because of the noise.

Hey Larry it is noisy! but your only squaring up the rock in and out real quick there is the other alternative my favorite I crank up the amp! it goes up to mohs 11

We broke 100 last week today it was beautiful 75 but soon I'll be crawling under rock good polishing opportunity there too :nono: that doesn't mean NO its an old honored polishing technique scratch on-- scratch off hopefully....
