these are great ! Do you have one or two crappy slabs to practice on first ?lol Ohhh yea, Before I started my slab to cab stock pile I was lucky enough to be able to get a 20lb box of Ralph's slab saw scrap from Mary Ann. There are many pieces in the box that one would be hard pressed to classify as scrap and most certainly not as crap. Though that might change once I get my inexperienced hands on them LOL. Mary Ann and Ralph are great people and I think that she took pity on me seeing as though she was going to be my first box. Some how I don't think that sound right LOL but I think you all know what I mean. I will try to post some pictures of those as well. Who knows maybe one day I will be proficient enough to dare and work with some Morrisoite though at $152.00 for a 1 3/4" square slab I don't know if I could afford it. I can see myself selling my blood to feed this addiction. Does any one have the phone # to the Betty Ford Clinic?

Those are beautiful slabs! Yep, try out the cabber on some small pieces of left overs in Maryann's box. Then work those slabs. Now, I have to do my safety moment here: Make sure you wear a mask, especially when cutting quartz, obsidian and things with copper staining in them. You don't need to develop lung problems because you want to make beautiful cabs! Also eye protection. You will see what I mean when you are grinding on that first wheel. Chips can fly faster than you can blink so it is not worth risking damage. Now, Have fun!!! Fran
