After a crazy wonderful week, our crazy wonderful English guest woke up... packed up his gear... belted in his traveling pal... and headed out on the road again. Angie made one last plea for Scooby, but alas, her efforts were still thwarted. We really loved our week with John, he really is a kind soft spoken fellow and he is genuinely missed around here. He was kind, caring, helpful and considerate. Angie watched him leave and then stood for a while watching the horizon to see if he was coming back. She couldn't wait for him to wake up in the mornings and she really became attached. He'll be following the I-40 for a ways, heading east. If you happen to see John, honk three times and give a wave. If he comes through your area, you won't be sorry to meet him. Safe travels John!

PS I looked and looked, but couldn't find the beef strips hanging off of the bike trailer in your pictures. Did John forgo his beef jerky endeavor?

Baz, it was awesome spending time with you and Christi. We were totally honored to see Christi's work and John loved sharing a beer at your table. Although he was afraid he was sounding too American, John kept saying the whole day was a "blast".
He left with a bag of homemade jerky in his trailer. He swears he's gonna try to make it on the road, LOL. We'll have to ask him the next time he pops in here how the project's coming along.
John should be reaching Albuquerque on or around the 20th. Baz,Bill, Angie and I will see you next week!

Just looking at the pics again. That Union Jack will be thread-bare by the time you make it home...

It was so cool, he had a bunch of flags from so many countries in his pouch that he had flown. Hope I'm getting the story right, but he actually started with a different US flag that was stiffer and bigger and traded with a biker dude in Cali for this one. They were both happy with the trade. LOL. Jo
