PM'd John as lots of people on the board said to when I needed a REAL saw blade. (NEWBIES: Take note...a GOOD blade makes a WORLD of difference!)
He told me what my options were, what he'd recommend, and I ordered the best I could get...and it was worth it. Notched blades are great on hard flint and agate and that's what I cut. I can actually get close to 6 minutes/inch!
I also ordered that dop handle and it looks like it will do a great job. I misunderstood one thing from the previous post about this in that it comes with metal 'dops' (actually 10-32 flat headed wood screws with the points cut off, so getting plenty more will be easy!) and a white plastic block with holes drilled to rack your preforms. I'm sure you could use any nail or screw for your dops, but the phillips head will give a place for the wax to 'bite' and the high thread count a good 'bite' for the Allen set screw.
Of course the most important part about John is that while he gives a discount to RTHers, if someone else has something you need and he can't beat the price he tells you where you can find it cheaper! Reminds me of the old Christmas movie...Miracle on 34th Street!
Thanks again John.

Thanks Sue, I'm looking more like Santa all the time. By the way, per Don at DP you can use nails or smaller screws as well on the new dop gizmo.
