Wow Tony that is a great deal. I don't know much about sawa but I have been pricing them on ebay and that is a really good price. And you didn't have to have it shipped another BIG $$ SAVINGS! I am sorry to hear of your bad knee. I am an expert in knee and back pain as I SUUER from both and I feel your pain. Enjoy your new toy in the best of health

Tony, just remember to take it easy while your knee heals! Man, Amber is the best at finding great deals! I would say she got a bargain there! You are going to have fun with that of course, it is much slower cutting than we are used to with a tile saw but it can be running while you are cutting other things. Fran

I have one just like it. I got it also thru a club auction. Only thing I had to do was replace the bearing and align the blade. I use mineral oil as cutting fluid, alittle messy but ok. Works fine. I got mine too for $ 125.00. Have fun with it !!

Thanks all. This is my second 10" saw, the other is mounted on a table and had to be put in storage until we get a bigger house. I'll keep this one outside.
Stu, I ruptured my ACL playing basketball and had it replace a little over 2 weeks ago with a cadaver ligament. I'm getting around pretty good at this point but am looking forward to the day I can unlock my brace to walk. That's about a month away yet.
Dennis, How will I know if the cross feed needs rethreading?
Garock, I use thin mineral oil in my saws, the kind sold as a laxative for horses.

if the slab thickness is wavy and if the slab thickness very from slab to slab . I'd set it for 5 turns of the screw and the slabs would all be different lol then i noticed that the cross screw was very loose in the vice ... i took it apart and found that the threads were shot . its an easy fix so long you have a drill press .
if you find that you need it re-threaded and dont have a drill press let me know , i'd be happy to do the repair for you.

Great pickup, Tony. That's awesome! By the way - not exactly on topic but - I like the fortune cookie statement. Very cool. And I really appreciate the need for a larger house to accommodate the hobby!
