Here is some of what I bought at our club's show this weekend. The seller called this Sonoran dendritic rhyolite. Not sure if it has another name but he claims its a new find.  Charoite. Not real colorful but for $2 I thought it was a deal. Should be a couple of decent cabs in those slabs.  I always buy at least on mineral specimen with the intent of cabbing it. This one caught my eye and looked to be cabable.  Rainbow calsilica. Should be big enough for two cabs and a set of earrings.  My big purchase, peanut wood. Its needs a little stabilizing so I'll get out the CA glue.  |

Greg this was the Berks Mineralogical Society's annual show near our home in Reading. Its not a big show but there are usually 4 or 5 vendors that have rough and slabs.

Great finds, that Rainbow is awesome and I've never heard of Peanut Wood before but I really do like that as well.

You really scored. Check out ebay closed and open listings for Charoit, but make sure that you are seated as I don't want you to fall over and injure your other knee LOL. I love the peanut and rainbow heck I love them all. You are a lucky rock hound

Really like that Sonoran rhyolite. Great patterns/colors, but I don't see dendrites...

Stu, I've priced, and bought, charoite before. Its insane.
Toad, I don't see any either but that's what he called it.
Dennis, from what the guy told me I expect it to work up like cherry creek.

The Sonoran Dendridic was selling in Quartzsite as Autumn Jasper.
There are several different patterns, it polished up pretty good.
Some good scores.

Charoite is pretty but you know what..........I like what you bought, just something about that purple & gray & all those swirls that make it very appealing. Looking forward to seeing what that pectolite looks like.
