Ted, if you look carefully at the rough rock in the light from all angles, you should see some schiller. If you cut on a plane parallel to it, you should get a moonstone effect. Jo

Jo , The retrograde metamorphosism has destroyed that property of the albite .

Cool lookin stuff Ted. Is it 6.5 all the way across? Looks like the darker areas might be softer. The cabs Donnie made from this material look really great

Gary , i did`nt mention the quartz that is in the mix . it is actually a major part of the consistancy . albite is 6 , actinolite the dark green 5-6 and the quartz at 7. it is a plenty solid hard rock
