We have just made it through the first wave and there are many more following this track. Here are some pictures of the hail we received, some 2 inches in diameter. That's our pond in the picture and when this was coming down it was splashing big time. I took the picture after the hail quite coming down. I think it has taken down most of my flowers. Most are perennials so they may come back. The others we can replant. Pray for those in harms way and we may just head south for the night. Blessings, Tanya

You don't want to head south. That line of bad weather stretches all the way to the gulf coast, and is headed east. Head north west. Still too cold for tornadoes up here.

Well they said the ones coming in were not quite as much a threat since the temps dropped, so we waited it out and they were right. We have limbs and leaves down all over and many of the plants we planted have been destroyed but some will survive. We were lucky. Many lost trees on their homes but nothing like MO and OK.

Those storms can really be scarey! It can just break your heart when you have to stand by and watch your plants get pulverized and you can't do a thing about it. I am sure glad you had nothing worse. Take care! Fran

There was 1 in butte county too. My aunt lives there, and last I heard, it was at the end of her street, and she was scared to go home....

Thank you all! We are all fine, just many leaves and plants destroyed. Jerry is taking his car to get an estimate on the damage to it today. Covered with dents but no broken windows, we feel we were blessed.

Glad to hear you made it through ok Tanya! We had a big hail storm last October that dented our cars and did a number on the roof. Just got a new roof last month as a matter of fact.
