That's a motor off of a good old swamp cooler. The kind you see stuck in a window, dripping water outside. With a 3/4 horse motor, the cooler must have been on a large building. There would have been a much larger pulley on the big round fan inside the cooler. If there's a model # on the motor, you should be able to google Westinghouse motors and get all of the specs. Don

I use swamp cooler motors on my 14" slab saw (1HP, 1 speed) and on my grinding wheels, (3/4 HP, 2 speed.) They work great.

woops I forgot to mention the 10" saw that came with it ... the power feed is busted but so is my new one .(same saw) .. waiting for a replacement ... bought this one cheap 220$ as a project ..its very old because the serial number is in the low 4000"s .. everything else seems perfect ... but the blade appeared to spin slower than normal ... so i think i need a 2" pulley for the motor instead of that little tiny one ... i think its a 1725 but not sure i think i have a model number for the motor which is maybe 108p250h01 but no info ... Thanks

Another advantage to running a 2" pulley is belt life, 2" is normally minimum recommended for 1/2" [or 4L] belts. Not that a belt will break the bank costwise, but frustrating to have one let go at 9 P.M. I've had a couple come apart that didn't look at all bad.
