My girlfriends sister lives in Joplin - Missed her house by a block. Crazy!

Yeah my Dad lives about 50 miles from there & I have cousins in Oklahoma City. If these were piz of somewhere else in the world. The US would be over there in a min. We'd be sending all kind of aid & money etc. But do you hear any other countries offering aid? We are the greatest most hummanitarian country in the world. But when we are in trouble. We're on our own. How many other countries helped after Katrina? 911? etc etc? We help our own & the world. But we are hated in much of it When are we going to learn? Charity begins at home let the others fend for them selves for a while. Mike

My mother in Law was from Joplin. Had she been still alive, this would have pretty hard on her. Even those of us that have never been there find this heart wrenching. Ken, thank you for posting this for us. Woody

That is just heartbreaking! I am glad that folks are pitching in to help. It will be a rough stretch of time but I will keep that community in my prayers! Fran
