Here is a wrap I finished up today that is only about 1" x 3/4" - I need littler fingers! Attachments:

I have to give credit to bikerrandy for his pics of bending the wire before molding around the stone - if I hadn't seen his pics I don't think I would have had the idea for the way the front came out.

Thank you... The opal is one of a bunch of stones my dad did a long time ago... and I am pleased that I am able to do something with the stones that my mom sent to me last year when I started into the wire wrapping thing.

Love the wrap. It looks like a little opal house.

Nice job on the wrap. Seems to overwhelm a very nice stone though...

Nice job on the wrap. Seems to overwhelm a very nice stone though... I thought that a bit as well looking at the picture but when I wore it yesterday, it doesn't look that way in person... Very weird.. Thanks for your reply, I appreciate your candid feedback. :-)

No problem. I'm sometimes too candid for some. But I don't take myself too seriously. I figure take my feedback or leave it, it either helps or it doesn't.
FYI - I don't wrap myself, but really appreciate the beautiful work you and others do.

Very cool!! I don't think the wire is overwhelming at all, but one thing you may try on the next small cab is the next smaller gauge of wire. (That might even be what Toad meant) but the wire job looks perfect

Do they even make 24 gauge, half-hard - square and half-round? Then I am going to need little, itty-bitty fingers for the wrapping then!

So I just sold the opal wrap today with a sterling silver chain as well as the Labradorite shown here - the Labradorite was a commission as I was wearing my first Labradorite wrap and she really liked the stone but it was a bit heavy for her. So I found this slightly smaller one in the blue tones she likes, wrapped it yesterday and took it up to her today and she bought both! Now I need business cards! Attachments:
