I measure the blade in the $10 saw I bought (see other thread). It looks like the hole in the blade is 7/8".
The tile blade is 4.25" and the masonry blade is 4".
Aryone know if there there any options for a new blade that is okay but not super expensive for someone who just wants to hack around?

Good luck finding a blade. I think the 7/8" is a metric equivalent size. I have never found a 7/8"-5/8" bushing to adapt to lapidary blades. You could try drilling out a 5/8" blade with a step drill but I would try it on an old blade first. Most if not all tile blades will not cut rock well. Masonry would be better but still not a 303.

I have read of people drilling out blades like John mentions. Seems it worked OK.
If you have a machine shop near it might be worth asking to have done. Stop by to ask. Usually in person is better than on the phone. It would only take a few minutes to do, so the cost shouldn't be too much.

Set up time is more than punch time as hole has to be accurately centered. I talked to a guy at a show that said using step drills he did it all the time. I have not had a reason to try it though. If you do please do post the results.
