Glass Buttes in May

Two of us went to Glass Buttes last week to soak up some of hte dry, and sun that usually occurs in May each year. I had gone to the Knappin during March when it was cold, wet, and snowing. Could not get into some of the obsidian sites due to wet roads then, so figured May...when it usually gets pretty hot during the day would be the ticket. boy, did we get fooled by the weather. First, it rained, then it froze the first night, then, snowed all day, then rained all night making the roads even wetter, a slicker. Oh, and did I mention it was cold, and blowing to boot? Guess we will have to go back next month.
